Assistant Teacher (Full-Time)


  $13–$18/hour (based on experience, education, and responsibilities)

We are seeking a full-time Assitant Teacher (Infants, Toddlers, or Pre-K) to guide and support children as they prepare for Kindergarten. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences, values play-based learning, and wants a stable, consistent schedule in a supportive early childhood environment.

Most positions follow a typical daytime schedule within our center hours of 5:30am–5:30pm.



About Our Program

  • Serving children 6 weeks–11 years

  • Reggio-inspired & play-based philosophy

  • Focus on early literacy, social-emotional development, and curiosity-driven learning (Pre-K)

  • Focus on nurturing relationships, curiosity, and development (Inf/Tod)

Key Responsibilities

As a Assistant Teacher, you will:

  • Support the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities

  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment

  • Assist with lesson activities, transitions, meals, and routines

  • Supervise children during play and learning activities

  • Communicate respectfully with families and team members

  • Help maintain daily classroom documentation

  • Follow all state licensing and center policies



Qualifications

Required:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Willingness to complete required trainings (CPR, First Aid, AED, Child Abuse Prevention)

Preferred (not required):

  • Previous childcare or early childhood experience

  • Interest in early childhood education or child development

  • Dependable, patient, and team-oriented

  • CDA (Child Development Associate) 

 We value experience, but we are also open to training the right candidate who is dependable, passionate, and eager to grow.



Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs

  • Ability to actively supervise children throughout the day
