Equipment Technician (Part-Time)

QUALIFICATIONS

High school education, and preferably secondary course of study in mechanics, or trades training plus at least

one year’s mechanical experience working with small engine repair and/or turf equipment, or equivalent

experience in turf equipment management.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Assists the Equipment Manager in appropriate preventative and curative maintenance required for all golf course equipment maintenance operations.
• Completes daily service records.
• Assist the Equipment Manager in maintaining appropriate parts inventory.
• Ensures that the equipment maintenance shop and appropriate areas are kept clean, organized, and provide a safe working environment for staff members.
• Must be thoroughly trained in the procedures of each task before performing such tasks.
• Must follow the guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for each specific task.
• Required to wear personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment to comply with established safety operating standards.
• Special projects or other duties as assigned.

Pay range: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Position is very active and requires lifting, pulling or pushing up to or over 25 pounds, moving and/or lift items with awkward weights. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
