Description

Dental Specialist of Connecticut is an office within Dental Associates of Connecticut. Our mission is to provide quality dental and personal care to all our patients in a relaxed and comfortable environment in which patients feel welcomed, accepted, secure, and confident in the care that they are receiving. Currently, we're in search of a highly motivated Full-time Periodontal/Implant Dental Assistant to assist in our multi-specialty practice with periodontics and endodontics. A candidate should have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and possess the ability to multitask.


EXPERIENCED REQUIRED 


Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet and seat patients
  • Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor
  • Set up trays as indicated by the days’ charts
  • Review schedules and anticipate the doctor’s needs in advance
  • Assist chairside using four-handed dentistry
  • Enter treatment plans
  • Take x-rays as needed
  • Clean and disinfect operatory after each patient
  • Take alginates/pour and trim models
  • Package and sterilize instruments
  • Keep operatory fully stocked
  • Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Willingness to learn & grow

  • Ability to reliably commute to the office location.
  • Available to work during current office hours.



Preferred Qualities:

  • Dental Office Experience
  • Dentrix Ascend software experience
  • X-Ray and ICE Certification
