Equipment Mechanic/Equipment RepairĀ

Position Description:Ā 

Ā 

As it pertains to the physical structure, equipment attached to said structure, and property, toĀ maintainĀ and repair theĀ building’sĀ equipment as directed by the Facility Manager under the guidance of the Sr. Mechanic.Ā Ā To complete assigned PM’s and repairs as capable independently, or while working as part of team.Ā Ā Accurately diagnosing, pricing out parts and equipment necessary for repairs.Ā Ā Maintaining an orderly shop, and general maintenance of work areas.Ā Ā Drain clearing and waterĀ jettingĀ as necessary.Ā Ā AssistingĀ with other aspects of the department as the FM sees fit.

Qualifications:Ā 

  • Vocational/trade school degree and /or 1-3 years of experienceĀ 

  • Basic knowledge of trades such as equipment repair

  • Familiar with operation of power tools, and equipment such as scissor liftsĀ 

  • Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, Internet research engines

Your day-to-day:Ā 

  • Complete PM’s and repairs/Ā projects asĀ assigned by the FM with supervision as necessaryĀ Ā 

  • Price out all repairs andĀ maintainĀ data logs of equipment repair historyĀ 

  • Shop maintenance and cleaning as necessary

Examples of Daily Decision Making:Ā 

  • To repair or replace a piece of equipment basedĀ off ofĀ materials cost andĀ new itemĀ pricingĀ
