Job DetailsJob Location: 220 GREGORY BLVD - NORWALK, CT 06855Position Type: Full TimeFacilities Technician (FT – Year-Round) The Shore and Country Club is seeking a dependable and skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the Club's buildings, grounds, equipment, and facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for members, guests, and employees. The Facilities Technician performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and facility improvement projects while helping to maintain the Club's high standards and appearance. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with a strong maintenance background who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and improving facilities. This is a full-time, year-round position that requires availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays during the season. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Club buildings, facilities, and equipment. Complete work orders efficiently and in accordance with Club standards. Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical issues. Perform interior and exterior painting, patching, and touch-up work as needed. Assist with facility improvement projects, renovations, and seasonal maintenance tasks. Maintain HVAC, lighting, doors, locks, fixtures, and other building systems. Inspect facilities regularly and identify maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with setup and breakdown of events, furniture, equipment, and seasonal amenities. Operate, maintain, and properly store tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies. Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all Club safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Assist other departments with operational and maintenance needs as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 2–4 years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or related experience Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair techniques Experience troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment and systems Experience in a club, hospitality, residential, commercial, or recreational environment is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and within a team, and prioritize tasks effectively Positive and professional demeanor with members, guests, and staff Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. (with assistance or equipment as needed) Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Availability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours during the season Ability to work in a fast-paced and occasionally noisy environment What We Offer Competitive hourly pay ($25-$29 per hour DOE) Paid Time Off and Off-Season Paid Holidays.
