Licenses Independent Social Worker - Supervisor

1. Provides in-home and or office based crisis oriented treatment and support to families.

2. Conduct thorough, accurate mental health assessments documenting findings according to ODMH standards

3. Works a 40-hour, non-structured work week, which may include evenings and weekends

4. Provides family education, skills, training, and individual, family and group therapy using brief, goal-oriented treatment plans

5. Utilize “active listening” techniques to help families de-escalate and begin setting priorities

6. Provides advocacy work with schools, court, and other social service agencies as needed

7. When appropriate, arranges for follow-up and ongoing case management after termination to ensure that referral to ongoing services occurs smoothly

8. Attends staff meetings and in-service training by employer

9. Attends and participates in weekly case consultation sessions and business meetings as necessary.

10. Keeps thorough and up-to-date client records and charting

11. Carries cell phone as needed

12. Is on 24-hour call to families during intervention (unless alternative coverage is secured).  

13. Cooperates in efforts to provide support and back-up for fellow therapists

14. Is available for referrals from after hours on a regular basis

15. Dresses appropriately per agency guidelines

16. Does necessary communication with insurance companies and funding agencies as needed

17. Assumes any other responsibilities as may be appropriate as directed by the Clinical Director
