The Manager, Marketing Operations will manage core brand and business processes and be responsible for the overall success of Marketing Operations for the Home Fragrance segment of Newell Brands.  The ideal candidate will be curious and optimistic problem-solver with an operations background. This individual excels in relationship building and has a genuine focus on meeting the needs of both team members & stakeholders.Â
- Role follows Newell’s hybrid office policy of three days in office per week minimumÂ
- Brands include Yankee Candle, WoodWick, and Chesapeake BayÂ
- This role has one direct report: Associate ManagerÂ

Job ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Problem-Solver:Â Key partner to Brand team to problem-solve systemic challenges that cross multiple brands.Â
- Efficiency: Build and implement tools, templates, and timelines to enable brand teams to deliver key initiatives and plans efficiently and consistently.  Improve operational effectiveness through creation, delivery, and maintenance of key processes. Â
- Key liaison for the Home Fragrance brand teams with cross-functional and central teams such as Sales Planning, Sales Operations, Category Strategy, Digital Marketing, Procurement, Consumer and Shopper Insights ensuring smooth coordination, communication, and project management.Â
- Pan-Newell Events: Spearhead strategic Brand execution for high-profile Pan-Newell events, including the National Sales Meeting, Wal-Mart Innovation Showcase, CEO Innovation Reviews, and CEC customer meetings. As the primary liaison in charge of operational progress and logistics, this role develops timelines, coordinates resources, solves problems, and is passionate about executional excellenceÂ
- Collaborate: Work collaboratively with the Brand Teams and cross-functional teams in the day-to-day operations of the business Â
- Orchestrate: Recurring monthly internal meetings, Annual Brand Planning, internal and external product review meetingsÂ
- Mid/Long range planning: 60-90 days ahead of workload and deadlinesÂ
- Review seeding campaigns: thought-leader behind program, supply Brand team with recommendations and post-campaign reportsÂ
- Continual Improvement:Â Review and improve processes to enhance efficiency.Â
- Ad Hoc Projects: Various needs for key marketing executional elements   Â
- People Leader: Supervise associate manager providing guidance, support, prompt feedback and yearly reviews. Â

QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, brand management, or marketing operationsÂ
- Strong relationship-building skills with genuine focus on meeting the needs of both team members and stakeholdersÂ
- Willing and able to handle both executional and strategic tasks and to seamlessly transition between the two as the job demands
- Able to manage through ambiguity within a matrix organization and to partner with cross-functional teams
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to engage and collaborate with senior leadershipÂ
- Strong attention to detail and ability to leverage processes to drive efficiency, consistency, and successful outcomesÂ
- Working knowledge of marketing competencies including brand strategy and planning, budget allocation, P&L management, digital/eCommerce, competitive analysis, and promotion/advertising  Â
- Demonstrated project management skillsÂ
- High-level of proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPointÂ
Â
The Connecticut and New Jersey base pay range for this position is from $123,000 to $169,200. Salary will be based on prior experience related to  the skills required for this position.Â
