The Environmental Compliance Manager-Permitting is a member of the Central Environmental Compliance Permitting Group and serves as an internal environmental permitting consultant supporting Clean Harbors facilities throughout North America. This position is responsible for developing permitting strategies, preparing complex environmental permit applications, coordinating with internal stakeholders and engineering teams, and negotiating permit conditions with regulatory agencies.
Unlike traditional facility EHS positions, this role focuses primarily on environmental permitting, regulatory interpretation, and project management rather than day-to-day operational compliance. The successful candidate will manage multiple permitting projects simultaneously across numerous states while partnering with operations, engineering, legal, consultants, and regulatory agencies to support business initiatives.
