About the role:

Snyder, TX

We are looking for an experienced Civil/Mechanical Superintendent to support utility-scale solar projects across the continental U.S. This is a 100% onsite, field-based role with up to 25% travel required. Per diem is available for qualified candidates. As the Owner's Representative, you will oversee civil, structural, and mechanical construction activities, ensuring EPC contractors meet safety, quality, schedule, and contractual requirements. You will work with project teams, contractors, engineers, and inspectors while supporting construction through project closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the Owner's Representative overseeing civil, structural, and mechanical construction activities on utility-scale solar projects.
  • Monitor EPC contractor performance to ensure compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and contractual requirements.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, safety plans, and contract documents.
  • Conduct daily site walks, field inspections, and QA/QC reviews to verify construction progress and quality.
  • Maintain SWPPP, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements throughout construction.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and team members to resolve field issues and support project execution.
  • Track construction progress, punch list items, corrective actions, and project deliverables through completion.
  • Review and monitor project documentation, inspections, reports, and contractor uploads within project management systems.
  • Support route development, constructability reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering efforts for energy infrastructure projects.
  • Provide project reporting, technical support, and leadership to help ensure safe, successful, and project delivery.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Power Generation, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of civil, structural, or mechanical construction experience supporting industrial, utility, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects.
  • Interpret and review construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Experience performing construction inspections, QA/QC reviews, and contractor oversight.
  • Experience with construction safety requirements and field execution practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
