Full-Time Hospice Chaplain

Pay: $35.00–$38.00 per hour (based on experience)

For more than 100 years, Croí Health has provided exceptional nonprofit hospice care to individuals and families throughout the South Shore. We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and experienced Hospice Chaplain to join our interdisciplinary hospice team.

This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide meaningful spiritual care to patients and families while helping expand grief support and build meaningful connections throughout the communities we serve.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide compassionate spiritual care to hospice patients and their loved ones in homes, facilities, and the Hospice House.
  • Coordinate spiritual assessments, counseling, and support while honoring the diverse beliefs, cultures, and values of those we serve.
  • Collaborate with Hospice RN Case Managers, Social Workers, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to develop patient-centered plans of care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement activities.
  • Facilitate grief support groups and bereavement programming.
  • Build meaningful relationships with clergy, faith communities, and community partners throughout the South Shore.
  • Complete timely clinical documentation and participate in agency quality initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required.
  • Board Certification preferred.
  • Three or more years of hospice experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the spiritual, emotional, and psychosocial issues related to serious illness, death, and bereavement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, maintain professional boundaries, and travel throughout the South Shore service area.
