Your Impact

The Inventory Specialist supports accurate, compliant movement of packaged cannabis products through inventory, wholesale, and retail fulfillment operations. Working under the direction of the Inventory Supervisor, this role maintains reliable records, prepares required brand registrations, coordinates assigned schedules, and helps ensure products are properly received, stored, fulfilled, and delivered in accordance with Connecticut requirements and company procedures.

What You'll Do (Personnel Duties, Authority, and Responsibilities)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other responsibilities and projects may be assigned for the overall benefit of the organization.

Inventory Accuracy & Compliance

  • Maintain timely and accurate finished-goods records in BioTrack, Dutchie, and internal tracking systems.
  • Complete approved product transfers, conversions, adjustments, and related inventory transactions.
  • Perform physical counts, reconcile results to electronic records, and report discrepancies to the Inventory Supervisor.
  • Support inventory audits and document approved corrections, waste, returns, and product destruction.
  • Verify that finished goods are properly labeled, packaged, registered, stored, and eligible for fulfillment.

Brand Registration & Product Setup

  • Prepare and submit Connecticut cannabis brand registrations and required supporting information.
  • Collect and verify product, label, and packaging details needed for each submission.
  • Track registration status, respond to requested corrections, and maintain organized registration records.
  • Confirm BioTrack and Dutchie product records reflect current approved brand and product information.

Wholesale, Retail & Delivery Support

  • Prepare pick lists, transfers, manifests, and packing documents for approved wholesale and retail orders.
  • Pick, verify, stage, and release products according to approved order details and inventory procedures.
  • Support retail replenishment, store transfers, and reconciliation of BioTrack and Dutchie inventory records.
  • Coordinate manifests, staging, and handoff with the approved delivery team, whether internal or external.
  • Route substitutions, quantity changes, priority changes, and other order exceptions through the appropriate manager for approval.

Receiving, Storage & Team Coordination

  • Receive approved inbound shipments from internal departments and third-party vendors and verify quantities and documentation.
  • Maintain clean, secure, and organized inventory areas with appropriate product segregation and access controls.
  • Work with Wholesale, Retail, Production, Packaging, and Compliance personnel to support approved schedules and product movement.
  • Review batch, packaging, and inventory documentation for completeness and elevate missing or conflicting information.
  • Manage assigned deadlines, communicate status updates, and promptly identify issues that may affect fulfillment expectations.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Inventory, warehouse, fulfillment, retail, or regulated-industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with BioTrack, Dutchie, or similar inventory and point-of-sale systems preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and electronic recordkeeping.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and communication.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, manage multiple assigned priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Must successfully complete a post-offer background check and meet state licensing/credentialing criteria.

Additional Expectations

  • Maintain dependable attendance for the assigned full-time, weekday, first-shift schedule.
  • Complete assigned work within established fulfillment, delivery, and compliance timelines.
  • Adapt to reasonable schedule changes for inventory counts, audits, deliveries, or operational needs.
  • Complete required training and follow current SOPs, security controls, and safety practices.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
