Position Summary:

The Concessions Manager is responsible for leading the team to create and maintain an exceptional specialty coffee experience for our internal and external Guests and players in a limited-service environment. This includes overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent Guest service, driving financial success, and building a strong team. A key aspect is fostering a positive and productive work environment through coaching, training, and performance management. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will report directly to the Food & Beverage Director.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Managing and directing the workforce, which includes hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, and scheduling Team Members.
  • Maintain high standards for food and beverage preparation, store cleanliness and Guest service.
  • Manage financial performance by controlling costs, managing inventory, and maximizing sales.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and policies.
  • Build a positive and supportive team environment by providing coaching and feedback, recognizing achievements, and fostering a sense of teamwork.
  • Analyze data and make informed decisions by identifying areas for improvement and making strategic decisions to drive business results.
  • Build relationships with players and Guests, understanding their needs and providing excellent Guest service.
  • Responsible for ensuring all Team Members possess the proper tools and training to carry out their job duties.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and ensure the team has been fully trained on all job duties.
  • Responsible for ensuring that staff payroll is completed and approved prior to the close of payroll deadline.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to manage, lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, provide feedback and resolve conflicts.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with Team Members, Guests, and vendors.
  • Understanding financial management, inventory control, and cost management.
  • Ability to supervise a team, delegate tasks, and provide feedback.
  • Ability to identify and resolve operational issues, handle Guest complaints, and make sound business decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Understand health and safety regulations, proper food handling procedures, and hygiene standards.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Passion for Guest service and creating a positive Guest experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; college level course work preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a supervisor or above capacity in a limited-service F&B environment required.
  • Prior experience in a coffee service venue is required.
  • Comprehensive non-alcoholic beverage knowledge with some culinary background or experience preferred.
  • Current Food Handler Manager certification and RBS certificate required or ability to acquire one (employer will provide upon hire).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

  • All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
  • Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time or the duration of their shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Ability to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends and graveyard and holidays.

Work Conditions:

Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage.
