Position Summary:

The Main Bank Cashier is responsible for overseeing and managing the main bank within the casino's cage, ensuring accuracy and accountability of all financial transactions. This role involves preparing and replenishing cashier banks, verifying money drops, preparing bank deposits, and reconciling the main bank inventory. They also assist other Team Members with monetary transactions and ensure compliance with all applicable gaming regulations. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will report directly to the Cage Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Safeguard Company assets.
  • Ensuring the main bank's inventory is accurate and balanced at the end of each shift, tracking all increases and decreases in inventory.
  • Preparing and issuing banks for casino cashiers, replenishing their drawers, and verifying transactions.
  • Receiving and verifying all money drops from various sources, including slot machines, table games, and other auxiliary outlets.
  • Processing and verifying exchanges between the main bank and cage cashiers.
  • Preparing and submitting bank deposits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all transactions, including those related to Title 31 requirements and internal control procedures.
  • Providing support to other Cage Team Members, assisting with various tasks as needed, and ensuring smooth operation of the cage.
  • Ensuring the security and accountability of all casino cage assets during their shift, following security procedures and protocols.
  • Adhering to all applicable gaming laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Ability to gain a basic understanding of gaming and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Title 31.
  • Ability to learn to use equipment such as coin sorters, currency counters, and calculators.
  • Basic math, reading and communication skills.
  • Flexible working hours and schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years high-volume cash handling experience required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

  • All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
  • Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions. Pushing and pulling needed with carts.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to bend, carry, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, sit, stand, or stoop during or for the duration of their shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance.

Work Conditions:

Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically performed in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Work is in a high volume, fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
