Position Summary:

The Slot Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the slot floor operations and providing friendly and efficient service. Responsibilities also include properly implementing all Title 31 procedures and safeguarding Company assets. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Understand North Fork Mono Casino's philosophies and work effectively to implement them. Act in relation to Team Members and Guests, in a manner consistent with the interests of the Company.
  • Enforce slot department policies.
  • Provides constructive feedback to Slot Department management regarding necessary changes and improvements.
  • Supervise, coach, counsel and discipline the performance of all subordinate positions.
  • Orient, train and evaluate new Team Members.
  • Perform the functions of other Slot Department positions when needed.
  • Comply with all signatory controls, including jackpot/fill tickets, check in/out sheets verification, transfer or buy sheets verification, Title 31 paperwork, paid in/out slips, key control logs, radio sign out logs and daily sign in sheets.
  • Efficiently process all requests for overrides on jackpots and fills.
  • Understand and be aware of the players' rewards program.
  • Complete guest requests for benefits, such as comps, using the player tracking system.
  • Aware of and updated on all upcoming events and promotions.
  • Follow all Safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Handle guest complaints in a positive and professional manner. Make decisions in the best interest of our guests and North Fork Mono Casino.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and management in both written and verbal form.
  • Able to maintain positive and effective working relationships with Team Members, guests and other departments.
  • Understand and follow all Responsible Gaming Guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic math, money handling and computer skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Title 31, MICS and internal control regulations.
  • Understand and practice the company culture.
  • Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to coach, counsel and discipline Team Members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of slot experience preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

  • All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
  • Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of their shift.
  • Ability to bend, carry, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, sit, stand, or stoop during or for the duration of their shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance.

Work Conditions:

Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage.
