Position Summary:

The Steakhouse Food Server provides exceptional table service in an upscale restaurant, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience for our Guests. This involves greeting Guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a polished and professional demeanor. This position must also possess in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings, and are skilled in providing recommendations and addressing Guest needs. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will report directly to the Steakhouse Assistant Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Greet Guests, take orders, offer menu suggestions, and address any Guest concerns or requests.
  • Responsible for memorizing menus, specials, and wine lists, and staying updated on new items and seasonal offerings.
  • Accurately relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are noted.
  • Serve food and drinks to Guests, ensure accuracy and presentation and check on their satisfaction during the meal.
  • Enter orders into the POS (point-of-sale) system, process payments, and handle cash and credit card transactions.
  • Set tables, clear plates and glassware as needed and ensure a clean and organized dining area.
  • Collaborate with other Team Members, including hosts, server assistants, bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Ensure a professional and presentable appearance, reflecting the restaurant's dining standards.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years' serving experience in a full-service restaurant is required.
  • Experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant is preferred.
  • Current Food Handler certification and RBS certificate required or ability to acquire one (employer will provide upon hire).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

  • All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
  • Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for the duration of their shift.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and drinks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Ability to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends and graveyard and holidays.

Work Conditions:

Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage.
