Position Summary:

The Pit Clerk is responsible for printing and payout markers, tracking guest play and supporting the Table Games management team. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will directly report to the Table Games Floor Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Safeguard the Company's assets.
  • Ensure that all assigned tasks are completed as required and that all items are balanced at the close of the shift.
  • Attend to guests' needs and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all pit activity is performed in an orderly manner.
  • Accurately post ratings to the computer.
  • Accurately post and safeguard the markers issued in the pit until they are transferred to the cage.
  • Be responsible for balancing activity concerning markers and fill/credits.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and how to use common office equipment.
  • Basic typing skills.
  • Basic understanding of gaming and regulatory requirements.
  • Basic math, verbal and sorting skills.
  • Basic computer skills and know how to post information to the databases.
  • Ability to work any shift or hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

  • All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
  • Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of their shift.
  • Ability to bend, carry, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, sit, stand, or stoop during or for the duration of their shift.

Work Conditions:

Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays.
