PRP Direct Care Worker (Fee-For-Service)

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Care Worker to provide support and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to help others, demonstrates professionalism, and is motivated to make a positive impact.


Position Expectations:

  • Minimum of 3 working days per week
  • Minimum caseload of 10 clients
  • Expected to work with both adolescents and adults
  • Compensation is an hourly Fee-For-Service rate
  • Must be a Maryland resident, preferably located near the Baltimore area for potential in-person visits


Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in developing daily living skills, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Guide clients in developing social and emotional skills to foster meaningful relationships and support networks
  • Monitor and document individuals’ progress and behaviors
  • Implement care plans as directed by supervisors
  • Ensure the safety and overall well-being of individuals under your care
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide holistic, coordinated care
  • Complete appropriate and timely documentation in accordance with agency standards
  • Manage and maintain your own schedule, ensuring client sessions and obligations are met consistently


Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certification is a plus
  • Previous experience in direct care or a related field preferred
  • Experience working with adolescents and adults preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Knowledge of gender issues counseling, psychopharmacology, or art therapy is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
