Union Warehouse Forklift Operator (Day)

UNION WAREHOUSE FORKLIFT JOB DESCRIPTION 

Job Summary:

This is a 4-day work week union position with the best-in-class health benefits and is the starting point for a lucrative career in the beer industry.  We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking forklift operator to join our team. In this role, your main responsibility will be to efficiently and accurately load and unload shipments in our warehouse.  Also, you will be responsible for organizing inventory, checking orders for accuracy, and ensuring that all items are properly secured for transport.  We are searching for individuals who are eager to take on new challenges and contribute to our success!  At Chesapeake Beverage, we are committed to fostering a culture of internal growth and development, encouraging employees to build long-term careers with us! 

Starting Pay:  $18.00/hr Plus Daily & Weekly Incentives (available through the achievement of targets, resulting in a higher hourly rate)   

Day Shift Schedule:    Monday - Thursday / 10:00am - 8:30pm

Night Shift Schedule:  Monday - Thursday /  6:00pm - 4:30pm

All positions may require mandatory OT at times - up to 4 hours 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Load and unload shipments of products from delivery trucks.
2. Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments.
3. Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse.
4. Package and label products for shipping.
5. Operate forklifts or other machinery to assist with loading and unloading.
6. Always follow proper safety procedures.
7. Keep work area clean and organized.
8. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience working in a warehouse environment preferred.
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time.
5. Good communication and teamwork skills.
6. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
