Objective of the Position: This position represents Supply Chain Management for potential and new business in the Program Team activities, and acts as a single point representative of contact for SCM; accountable for meeting target cost for new programs.

 

Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

  • Responsible for target costing for new projects.
  • Act as the Program Manager for SCM – Timing, APQP & Cost Management until SOP
  • Responsible for Flawless launches.
  • Drives concurrent engineering activities and early prototype supplier involvement.
  • Coordinates technical reviews (with Supplier Development, Commodity Buyer, Eng, & Mfg)
  • Works with Commodity Buyer (CB) for estimates/RFQ/source recommendation form
  • Obtain consensus with program team on source selections.
  • Coordinate all Change Management requirements affecting suppliers.
  • Capture SCM lessons learned and provide to program team
  • Organized by BU and linked to Design center
  • Intelligent Forward Planning (CIP)
  • Procurement Market- Benchmark Studies

Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

  • Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
  • Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirement Profile:

 

Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in field or closely related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working for a manufacturing supplier preferably automotive.
  • Experience with an ERP system required.
  • Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
