Jackson Dawson owns and operates Domain Cityscape Architects, a commercial architecture firm founded in 1999 that has designed thousands of projects nationwide. We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Senior Project Manager to guide projects from initial concept through construction and completion—ensuring that design excellence is paired with efficient execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including schematic design, design development, construction documentation, bidding and contract negotiation, construction administration, and close-out.
  • Coordinate internal design teams and external consultants to ensure smooth project workflows.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear communication across all parties to keep projects on track.
  • Support the Senior Project Manager in managing team resources, timelines, and performance.
  • Lead project coordination, maintaining team productivity and alignment.
  • Oversee project budgets, timelines, and documentation quality.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain complete construction document sets with the production team.
  • Translate client requirements into effective design solutions and space plans.
  • Conduct construction administration tasks, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, assessing change orders, and performing site visits.
  • Manage project records and distribute accurate meeting minutes and correspondence.
  • Identify potential risks and issues promptly and communicate them to the Senior Project Manager.
  • Support value engineering efforts and consultant coordination.
  • Interface with local authorities to manage permitting and code compliance.
  • Mentor junior staff in detailing, coordination, and technical development throughout all design phases.

Qualifications

  • 4–6+ years of experience in commercial and retail architectural design.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Proven experience with commercial and industrial projects.
  • Strong client communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to convey design intent clearly through sketches and presentations.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Leadership skills to guide and inspire team members to achieve project goals effectively.
