Job responsibilities include:
- Retrofit of vehicles
- Upfit of vehicles
- Diagnostics of build concerns
- Diagnostics of vehicle programming
- Assist engineering team with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrective action
- Complete reports on concerns found during assigned project
- Tracking personal progress to ensure department and corporate objectives are met
- Maintain delivery timing on assignments
- Quality checks of pre and post builds.
- 3+ years of automotive mechanic experience
- Experience with equipment such as hoists, liquid evacuation, tools for engine removals, other
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Strong automotive mechanical skills, problem solving skills
- Vehicle diagnostics, vehicle re-flash programming
- Reasonably skilled in the understanding of vehicle operation in HVAC, Fuel/Exhaust, Brake System, Engine Electrical, Body Electrical, Transmission/Transfer case, Front-Wheel Drive Transaxle, Automatic Transmission, Minor Body/Interior.
- Reasonable computer skills in accessing, reading, and inputting required vehicle repair data
- State of Michigan, ASE, and/or manufacturer certifications a plus
