As  Director, Strategy & Revenue Planning,youĀ are responsible forĀ defining and driving the strategic planning and revenue planning standards across HARMAN Automotive’s Global Customer Group.Ā 

You lead the Customer Excellence function responsible for connecting Automotive Strategy, SBU strategies, Growth Strategy, Customer Portfolio Strategy, CAM strategies, 5-year planning, 10-year scenarios, and annual booking target development into one integrated planning system.Ā 

This role ensures that customer growth priorities, pursuit decisions, revenue plans, and long-term strategic choices are aligned, traceable, and measurable across Customer Groups, SBUs, Finance, Strategy, and supporting functions.Ā 

You will work closely with Customer Group Leads, CAM Leads, SBU leadership,Ā Market Intelligence,Ā Finance, Strategy,Ā Sales, and Customer Excellence teams to strengthen strategic alignment, improve revenue planning discipline, and enable the organization to make better growth decisions based on clear priorities, reliable data, and consistent standards.Ā 

Business scope includes support for global CustomerĀ GroupsĀ a multi-year revenue planning horizon across OEM customers, regions, SBUs, and strategic growth spaces.Ā

Your TeamĀ 

You are part of the  Customer Excellence organization andĀ operateĀ as the senior authority for strategy and revenue planning standards across the Global Customer Group.Ā 

You lead the Strategy & Revenue Planning Office, which owns the processes, frameworks, governance, and business rhythm for Growth Strategy, Customer Portfolio Strategy, CAM Strategies, 5-year planning, long-term revenue scenarios, and annual booking target development.Ā 

This roleĀ has 3 to 4 direct reports, who may be distributed globally andĀ leads through influence across regional Customer Groups, CAM teams, SBUs, Finance, Strategy,Ā MarketĀ Intelligence, and other Customer Excellence functions.Ā Ā 

ThisĀ role supports Customer Groups in the Americas, Europe, China and Korea, India, and Japan.Ā

What YouĀ WillĀ DoĀ Ā 

Lead Strategy & Revenue PlanningĀ 

Define andĀ maintainĀ the standards, frameworks, and operating rhythm for Growth Strategy, Customer Portfolio Strategy, CAM strategies, 5-year planning, 10-year scenarios, strategic growth space planning, and customer/SBU alignment.Ā 

Ensure the strategy and revenue planning system is clear, repeatable, data-driven, and consistently adopted across Customer Groups.Ā 

Own the 5-Year Planning ProcessĀ 

Lead the GCG 5-year planning process, aligning Customer Group, CAM, SBU, Finance, and divisional inputs into one integrated revenue plan.Ā 

Connect the 5-year plan to strategy, customer priorities, pursuit pipeline, SBU plans, and long-term Automotive growth ambitions.Ā 

IdentifyĀ key assumptions, risks, gaps, and plan movements, and support leadership in defining required corrective actions.Ā 

Lead Growth Strategy and Customer Portfolio PlanningĀ 

Translate market trends, customer needs, SBU strategies, customer portfolio analysis, competitive dynamics, and long-term business ambitions into a clear and prioritized Growth Strategy.Ā 

Analyze market potential, technology shifts, customer opportunities, SBU growth ambitions, and strategic growth ideas toĀ determineĀ where GCG should focus.Ā 

Challenge assumptions, pressure-test growth ideas,Ā identifyĀ required enablers, andĀ finalizeĀ the Growth Strategy into clear priorities, actions, scenarios, and measurable outcomes.Ā 

Track performance against the Growth Strategy andĀ identifyĀ gaps, risks, and corrective actions.Ā 

Strengthen CAM Strategy DisciplineĀ 

Define the standards, templates, rhythm, and governance for Customer Portfolio Strategy and CAM strategy development.Ā 

Ensure CAM strategies connect customer priorities, market trends, SBU growth opportunities, pursuit pipeline, revenue plans, risks, and required actions.Ā 

Coach Customer Groups and CAM teams in developing clear, actionable, and measurable customer strategies.Ā 

ProvideĀ Strategic Business InsightsĀ 

Translate revenue planning, customer strategy, pursuit pipeline, market data, and growth performance into executive-level insights and recommendations.Ā 

IdentifyĀ gaps, risks, white spots, customer shifts, technology transitions, and growth opportunities across the portfolio.Ā 

Drive Cross-Functional Alignment and GovernanceĀ 

Partner with Customer Excellence, SBUs, Finance, Strategy, Market Intelligence, and Customer Groups to align growth ambitions, customer priorities, technology roadmaps, business cases, and execution requirements.Ā 

Support leadership reviews, Growth Pillar discussions, strategic planning sessions, customer portfolio reviews, and annual planning processes.Ā 

Ensure lessons learned, market feedback, and performance results are translated back into stronger strategy and planning standards.Ā 

Ā 

What You NeedĀ 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Strategy, or relatedĀ field.Ā 

  • 10+ years of experience in Sales, Sales Operations, Strategy, Business Planning, Revenue Planning, Customer Strategy, or customer-facing leadership roles in automotive or complex technology environments.Ā 

  • Strong understanding of automotive OEM customers, sales cycles, pursuit pipelines, revenue planning, customer strategy, and customer portfolio management.Ā 

  • Experience developing growth strategies, customer portfolio strategies, market opportunity assessments, or long-term business plans.Ā 

  • Strong ability to analyze market potential, customer opportunities, SBU strategy inputs, technology trends, revenue scenarios, and business performance.Ā 

  • Proven ability to translate complex inputs into clear strategies, priorities, plans, and executive-level recommendations.Ā 

  • Ability to challenge assumptions, pressure-test growth ideas, and drive strategic alignment across senior stakeholders.Ā 

  • Ability to influence leaders and drive alignment in a complex global matrix organization.Ā 

  • Experience leading, developing, and coaching direct reports across regions or functions.Ā 

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and executive presentation skills.Ā 

What isĀ Nice toĀ HaveĀ 

  • Experience leading 5-year planning, growth strategy, customer portfolio strategy, strategic revenue planning, or long-term business planning.Ā 

  • Experience working directly with OEM customers, Customer Account Management teams, or automotive SBU leadership.Ā 

  • Experience with market intelligence, competitive analysis, market sizing, TAM analysis, or strategic growth opportunity assessment.Ā 

  • Experience building growth scenarios, strategic choices, portfolio prioritization models, or performance tracking mechanisms.Ā 

  • Experience with Salesforce, QLIK, business intelligence dashboards, revenue planning tools, or similar systems.Ā 

  • Background in automotive electronics, infotainment, car audio, connected services, software, ADAS, centralizedĀ compute, or advanced mobility technologies.Ā 

  • Experience building global standards, planning frameworks, governance models, or business operating rhythms.Ā 

  • Ability toĀ operateĀ in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment whileĀ maintainingĀ strong stakeholder relationships.Ā 

  • High degree of ownership, determination, and perseverance.Ā

$ 161,250 - $ 236,500
