About the Role

As a Summer Intern in the Value Management (VM) organization, you will work closely with Pipeline Managers within the Intelligent Cockpit Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This role sits at the intersection of engineering, innovation, and business impact, offering hands-on exposure to real-world cost optimization initiatives in advanced automotive systems.

You will contribute to the identification, development, and tracking of VM initiatives—supporting technical feasibility assessments, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and helping ensure alignment with annual savings targets through a strong and continuously evolving ideas pipeline

What You Will Do

  • Support Value Management initiatives across the Intelligent Cockpit SBU, under the guidance of experienced Pipeline Managers.

  • Track and manage cost-reduction initiatives within internal VM databases, ensuring a high level of data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

  • Analyze and gain familiarity with electrical and mechanical designs, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams.

  • Coordinate technical feasibility assessments to evaluate proposed design changes and unlock new value opportunities.

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to continuously generate and mature ideas that support VM savings targets.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report progress toward annual savings goals, providing clear and timely updates to stakeholders.

  • Foster strong collaboration across Engineering, Customer Account Management, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and the wider VM organization.

  • Support VM ideation, benchmarking, and workshop activities, contributing to technical component analysis and SBU-level savings objectives.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Strong analytical skills, with an interest in data analysis, KPI tracking, and working with structured data tools.

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about automotive electronics, intelligent cockpit systems, and emerging technologies.

  • Solid organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills in English, with the confidence to collaborate, present ideas, and engage stakeholders across disciplines.

  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a desire to make a tangible impact.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Must be currently enrolled in a related Bachelor's Degree program or higher at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program

  • Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA

  • Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan.

  • Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.

  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

  • Must provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
