About the Role

The Core Payments organization of Mastercard is involved in developing Authorization, Clearing, Debit, and other major functionalities for customers around the globe. The Clearing Team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to support the MDS Batch Program to deliver software solutions, including testing to ensure only performant and efficient code is delivered into production.

Role

• Analyze and create cutting edge solutions for Core Payments teams
• Test software to ensure high performance metrics and business requirements are met
• Maintain and present project related metrics reporting for management review
• Technical leader proposing solutions and leading initiatives for automation, defect metrics and overall quality initiatives
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and other groups, including vendors, to ensure success of the project
• Test project schedule and track the deliverables

All About You

• Hands on experience with Microfocus COBOL, CICS, JCL, PROC, TWS Scheduler, Java Spring Boot and DB2 LUW
• Experience designing and developing with COBOL to meet business requirements, preferred
• Strong switching knowledge with a preference for clearing applications expertise
• Proven experience in Batch and online testing
• Proven ability to design end-to-end test scenarios for large initiatives spanning multiple impacted teams across Mastercard
• Automation experience is desirable, with the ability to identify opportunities for test efficiency and coverage
• Proactive mindset to adopt AI-driven tools for test and development automation
• Driven professional with willingness to take lead and spearhead quality initiatives
• Result oriented with excellent communication skills
• Ability to influence others and steer key stakeholders to implement the best solution

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges

O'Fallon, Missouri: $115,000 - $184,000 USD

Remote - Michigan: $115,000 - $184,000 USD
