Major Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on transportation costs, including fuel, labor, maintenance, and other operational expenses.
- Develop and maintain cost models to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
- Monitor cost variances and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather data and provide insights on cost management.
- Prepare detailed cost analysis reports and presentations for management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of cost control procedures and policies.
- Conduct periodic reviews of cost allocation methodologies and recommend adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college/university in a concentration requiring analytical rigor (such as: business, economics, finance, logistics/supply chain management, etc.)
- Preferred 1 year of work experience in the transportation industry
- Strong understanding of transportation principles, economics, and supply chain network behavior
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Salary: Up to $55,000 /year base salary + Bonus Eligibility
This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however it may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand.
