We are seeking a relationship-driven healthcare sales professional with at least 3 years of experience in hospice, skilled nursing, or assisted living within the Chicago market. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building partnerships with skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), assisted living communities, and physician offices, along with a stable work history demonstrating 2-3+ years of tenure in recent roles. Success in this position requires strong market knowledge and the ability to drive census growth through strategic referral development and community engagement.
8am-5pm regular shift with occasional events later in the day and possibly a rare weekend event.
Pay Range:
$44.15 - $66.25Major Responsibilities:
A Business Development Hospice Coordinator drives census growth by establishing relationships with healthcare providers and the community to generate hospice patient referrals. This field-based role bridges medical facilities and the hospice interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless end-of-life care transitions for patients and their families.

- Exhibits high level of customer service through providing education, support to patients, family members, and or other care givers.
- Partner internally with team members and operational leaders to drive census growth by establishing relationships with healthcare providers, and community to generate patient referrals.
- Build and nurture trust with key medical professionals, social works, and care communities
- Deliver educational in-services to healthcare accounts, serving as a trusted community resource on hospice care benefits within the parameters of our organization.
- Professionally engage in meetings across the enterprise as invited.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates an ability to work closely with a variety of people while effectively using problem-solving skills to ensure smooth transition of care.
- Demonstrates an understanding of referral patterns in the territory service area.
- Demonstrates an ability to effectively engage and collaborate with clinical team
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 5 years of experience in Home Health/Hospice/HME/Respiratory marketing and business development that includes experiences in developing and executing business development/sales plans to increase revenue, creating supportive marketing and communications materials, and performing competitive marketing analysis.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Demonstrated skills in business development activities such as successful relationship building strategies, promoting products/services to existing/new clients, and experience in meeting financial targets.
- Demonstrated success in executing service line or brand-based marketing programs with documented, verifiable results.
- Strong consultative and problem solving skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills essential to accomplish goals through coordination and direction of others.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word) or similar products preferred.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects from various sources.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to carry and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Daily travel results in exposure to related road and weather hazards.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
