Pizza Cook

A Pizza Cook prepares and cooks pizzas and other menu items in an Italian restaurant while maintaining high food quality, cleanliness, and kitchen safety standards. They work closely with the kitchen team to ensure orders are prepared quickly and accurately.

Rate: $23/ hour

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to restaurant recipes

• Assemble pizzas with correct ingredients and portion sizes

• Cook pizzas using pizza ovens (deck ovens or wood-fired ovens)

• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure proper quality

• Maintain a clean and organized pizza station

• Restock ingredients and supplies during shifts

• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Assist with basic food prep and kitchen tasks when needed

Skills and Qualifications

• Basic cooking or kitchen experience preferred

• Knowledge of pizza preparation and cooking techniques

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Attention to detail and consistency in food preparation

• Ability to stand for long periods and work near hot ovens

• Strong teamwork and communication skills
