Responsibilities
  • Prepare daily meals and snacks according to established manus, recipes, and resident dietary requirements.
  • Ensure melas are nutritious, flavorful, and visually appealing.
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures, maintaining a clean an organized kitchen.
  • Assist with menu planning, including accommodating special diets
  • Monitor food inventory and work with Management on procurement.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Previous experience in cooking in healthcare preferred.
  • CBRF Certifications preferred.
  • ServSafe Certifications preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards seniors.
  • Ability to follow recipes and accurately manage portion control.
  • Ability to lift and move safely as required.
  • Understand and practice standard precautions at all times.
  • Availability to work 1st shift hours (7am - 6pm), including every other weekend and holiday.
  • Must pass background check.
