Job DetailsJob Location: Watershed Pet Solutions - Oak Creek, WI 53154Position Type: Full TimeJob Summary: The Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Supervisor will ensure all products produced and manufactured in a safe matter and verify all quality checks to ensure that quality products are being shipped to Watershed customers. In this role, the FSQA Supervisor will oversee QA technicians on their designated shift, will provide support/expertise for any quality issues by decision making, and elevate any concerns to the Director of Quality. QualificationsKey Responsibilities: Ensure and verify for completeness of production data, Weight control, Temperatures, labels by checking all records for completeness (finish packaging and production sheets).   Notify Shift Production Supervisors of employee record keeping issues and request them to be addressed.  Ensure that product is properly sealed, verify code dates on the packaging, and the correct label is put onto the finished packaging.  Ensure that only the correct quantity and quality of product enters the appropriate final packaging.  Communicate with the Operations if there is a problem with the product quality or processing equipment.  Communicate with any individual regarding GMPs and notify supervisor and manager if GMPs are not followed.  Maintain a clean work area (floors, equipment, and workstation) always to avoid product contamination, and safety.  Support additional needs by other departments (this may include but not limited to, sampling for trial runs for RD, weighing up and providing probiotics for production use, confirm calibrations, etc.).   Supervises activities of direct subordinates, coaching, leading, and supporting their needs.  Perform inbound ingredient checks and for approval (as needed).   Actively assist QA technicians with sanitation (including but not limited, swabbing, inspecting, releasing area for production use, etc.).  Communicate any observed food safety issues to operations, quality, and elevate any issues that may need immediate attention.  Support SQF certification and compliance as the substitute SQF practitioner.  Perform other duties as needed/assigned.   Skills & Qualifications: High attention to detail and ability to work in fast paced environments.  Proficient in mathematics.  Willing to work as a collaborator and support other individuals/teams as needed.  People focused and support direct reports.   Well-developed sense of personal initiative.  Ability to work with little or no supervision, but willing to elevate concerns that need immediate attention.
