Position Description:

The Production Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for driving performance, engagement, and accountability across all production areas (Saw, Machining, Welding, Assembly, etc.). This role ensures work flows efficiently, schedules are met, and employees are supported, coached, and motivated to perform at a high level. This individual is not just managing production, they are leading people, removing barriers, and keeping operations moving seamlessly from one process to the next.

Primary Objective

Lead and motivate the team to achieve daily production, quality, and safety goals

Ensure on-time completion of work orders across all departments

Drive consistent workflow and material readiness so employees can stay productive

Maintain high standards for product quality and adherence to prints/BOMs

Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and motivate employees to meet production, quality, and safety expectations while fostering a positive, accountable team environment

Coordinate and monitor daily production across Saw, Machining, Welding, and Assembly to ensure schedules are met and work flows efficiently between departments

Proactively remove bottlenecks, anticipate needs, and ensure materials are staged and ready so employees can remain productive

Support workflow by assisting with material handling and forklift operation as needed to maintain continuous production

Ensure all products meet print specifications, BOM requirements, and established quality standards, including proper inspection processes

Enforce and model adherence to all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Train, mentor, and develop employees, including conducting performance reviews and providing ongoing feedback and accountability

Oversee accurate documentation (timekeeping, BOMs, prints) and utilize systems to track and support production performance

Assist with machine setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance coordination as needed

Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall departmental performance

Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Prior supervisory or team leadership experience in manufacturing strongly preferred

Machining or production experience in a related industry preferred

Strong ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable

Experience managing schedules and workflow in a production environment

Forklift operation/material handling experience

Ability to understand prints, BOMs, and measuring equipment

Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Comfortable using computer systems and production software

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements
