TesseraĀ isĀ seekingĀ an experiencedĀ andĀ hardworking General Maintenance Worker IIĀ with a positiveĀ attitudeĀ to support the HVAC Shop.Ā Ā 

Typical duties include but are not limited to:Ā Ā 

  • Responsible for a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry (includesĀ siding), plumbing, masonry, grouting ceramic tile floors/walls, and minor electrical work.Ā Ā Replacing glass in windows and doors.Ā Ā Replacing/repairing door hardware.Ā Ā Clearing roof drains and gutters.Ā 

  • Responsible for using plaster or compound to patch holes and cracks in walls and ceilings. Touch up painting and caulking.Ā 

  • Responsible for minor repairs on sinks, water coolers, and toilets. Caulking plumbing fixtures.Ā Ā 

  • Responsible for minor repairs on concrete floors, steps, stoops, decks, and sidewalks.Ā 

  • Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors, informing the customer of unexpected orĀ additionalĀ repairs andĀ determiningĀ customer needs.Ā 

  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.Ā 

  • Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.Ā 

  • Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.Ā 

  • Communicate with the scheduler to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates.Ā 

  • FollowsĀ all Safety Procedures and Policies.Ā 

  • Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.Ā

Qualifications:   

  • Three (3) years of facilities maintenance experienceĀ preferred.Ā 

  • Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work preferred.Ā 

  • Must be able to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.Ā

Employees must have the ability toĀ performĀ the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or withoutĀ assistance. The physical demands of this position may beĀ reasonably accommodatedĀ for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.Ā Ā Ā 

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up toĀ 50Ā pounds.Ā 

  • May beĀ requiredĀ to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.Ā 

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also beĀ required.Ā Ā 

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.Ā

  • A valid state driver’s license isĀ requiredĀ with the ability to obtain andĀ maintainĀ coverage byĀ Tessera’sĀ insurance.Ā
