Service Advisor Trainee
About the Role
The Service Advisor Trainee supports the service team while learning dealership processes, customer communication, and repair order workflow. This role prepares for advancement into a full-Service Advisor position.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
- Assist with customer check-in and documentation.
- Learn repair order creation and estimate building.
- Support MPI communication to customers.
- Coordinate internal communication with technicians.
- Learn scheduling and appointment processes.
- Assist with customer updates and follow-up.
- Shadow experienced Service Advisors.
- Support service drive organization and vehicle staging.
- Assist with closing repair orders.
- Learn warranty and compliance basics.
Additional Responsibilities
Support service drive cleanliness and workflow.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Interest in automotive repair and service.
- Ability to learn quickly and take direction.
- Strong communication and multitasking ability.
Work Environment
Service drive and office environment.
Physical Requirements
Standing for long periods
Schedule
Full-time; weekends may be required.
