About the Role:

As a Truck Driver - Owner Operator, you will play a critical role in the transportation and logistics industry by independently managing your own trucking business while delivering goods safely and efficiently. This position requires you to operate your own commercial vehicle to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. You will be responsible for managing your schedule, maintaining your vehicle, and communicating effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate shipments. The role demands a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and excellent organizational skills to handle the operational and administrative aspects of your business. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the seamless movement of goods, supporting supply chains and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle class being operated.
• Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.
• Ownership of a commercial truck that meets regulatory and company standards.
• Knowledge of transportation laws, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to pass required drug and alcohol screenings and background checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with long-haul trucking and managing logistics independently.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation management software.
• Strong mechanical skills for basic truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain your own commercial truck to transport goods safely and efficiently.
• Plan and manage routes to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel and time efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Communicate regularly with dispatchers, clients, and other stakeholders to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure the truck remains in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, deliveries, and other business-related documentation.
• Manage business operations including invoicing, expense tracking, and customer service.
