Position Overview
Chitina Diversified Services is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for federal construction projects in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
The Superintendent will manage day-to-day site activities, coordinate subcontractors and field personnel, maintain project schedules, ensure quality workmanship, and promote a safe, organized, and productive construction site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the on-site construction team.
- Coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Review project schedules and budgets and ensure field activities remain aligned with project requirements.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure deadlines are met.
- Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor site safety, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain daily field reports, field orders, RFIs, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate inspections and required approvals.
- Participate in production and project coordination meetings.
- Identify and resolve field issues affecting schedule, safety, quality, or productivity.
Required/Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction superintendent experience.
- Government, DOD, DOE, FAA, or similar federal construction experience highly preferred.
- NQA-1 experience preferred.
- United States Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance required.
- Knowledge of 10 CFR 851.
- EM 385-1-1 and OSHA 30 experience/certification as required by contract.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
- Experience with construction scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
