Job Summary:

As a member of the Operations organization, the Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing priorities. This role provides direct leadership to production personnel and is accountable for safety, quality, delivery, cost, staffing, production planning, and operational execution. The Manufacturing Manager serves as the manufacturing leader, ensuring production objectives are achieved while driving continuous improvement, workforce development, and operational excellence across the value stream.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities 

  •  Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing objectives
  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development for manufacturing personnel.
  • Establish daily production priorities and ensure alignment with customer demand and program objectives.
  • Drive accountability for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity metrics.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to
  • Lead staffing, workforce planning, and training activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for production and quality issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of manufacturing or operations experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing manufacturing teams.
  • Experience managing production schedules, staffing, and manufacturing priorities.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, electronics, robotics, or unmanned systems manufacturing.
  • Experience scaling manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production planning.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience working in AS9100 or ISO 9001 environments.
