About the Opportunity

What You’ll Do

Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise‑grade network infrastructure—switches, routers, next‑gen firewalls, and more.
Perform hands‑on maintenance and monitoring to keep networks and servers secure, stable, and optimized.
Evaluate the health of network and data center components, identifying opportunities for upgrades and improvements.
Manage support requests using the IT Help Desk system, coordinating with technical teams as needed.
Configure and maintain networked devices, VPNs, Active Directory services, NAS systems, and server‑based applications.
Partner with IT Administrators and Support Specialists to troubleshoot and resolve advanced network or server issues.
Collaborate with IT leadership and end users to maintain a robust computing environment.
Research emerging technologies, tools, protocols, and standards to enhance IT capabilities.
Analyze system usage to plan for future capacity, scalability, and growth.
Provide occasional support for Operational Technology networks and SCADA systems.
Help ensure compliance with cybersecurity controls and frameworks such as NIST, NRC, COMSEC, and DOE requirements.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a technical field — or equivalent experience.
Seven years of network engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of common network architectures, operating systems, hardware platforms, and protocols.

What Sets You Apart

Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches and Palo Alto firewalls.
Relevant certifications (Cisco, A+, Network+, Security+).
Experience managing Microsoft Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with VMware virtualization.

This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
