Summary: 
The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects, tasks, and other work scope in an integrated, coordinated, and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops the project schedule and project execution plan.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule, project controls, and technical performance of project and sub-elements.
  • Identifies and communicates project scope, goals, and objectives.
  • Identifies customer needs and requirements and develops project execution plan to accomplish project deliverables and objectives.
  • Establishes an integrated project team and develop plans which balance scope execution.
  • Acts as customer contact for project activities, and the negotiation of deliverables and baseline changes.
  • Communicates project plan and status to management, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Identifies and communicates changes to the project.
  • Prepares documentation to support proposals, work statements and authorization, performance monitoring, change control, and closeout.
  • Identifies project risks and communicates/revises the risk register as the project progresses. 
  • Thorough knowledge of project management principles, processes and systems, and knowledge of financial/budgeting processes and systems.

Education / Experience:                                                                                  
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in project management, project control, and/or proposal writing.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management tools.
  • Experience working with resource loaded schedules within Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience working with accounting programs; familiarity with client invoicing.
  • Experience working in government contracting is preferred.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
  • DOE Q-Clearance preferred.

  • Excellent customer service and communications/interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and managers, and external contacts.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in secure environment and properly handle company sensitive and priority information.
  • Ability to perform a variety of concurrent tasks and is process-orientated with high attention to detail.
  • Must understand and apply prioritization to work and projects with a strong ability to time manage.
  • Ability to deal with conflicts and stressful situations.
  • Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint.
