ORTEC is seeking a Specials Manager to manage and coordinate the daily activities related to the quoting and fulfillment of special and off-standard products. In this role, you will work closely with product managers and sales teams to deliver customized solutions that meet specific customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the quoting, assembly, testing, and documentation of customized ORTEC products
- Design, quote, assemble, test, document, and service customized products to meet specific customer needs
- Communicate the status of customer orders for customized ORTEC products clearly and effectively to operations and sales teams
- Analyze and interpret test data to ensure products meet customer expectations
- Perform fabrication and/or assembly operations as required
- Provide customer support, installation, and onsite training for custom integrated systems as needed
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and cost efficiency
- Identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs

Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Understanding of radiation detection and/or gamma-ray spectroscopy strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of cryogenic vacuum systems preferred
- Hands-on experience using hand tools and soldering for assembly work
- Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, ProE, Inventor, or similar tools, with SolidWorks preferred
- Strong proficiency with office productivity software
