Job DetailsJob Location: Oakdale, MN 55128Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $22.95 - $29.50 HourlyVeterinary Technician – Surgery Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota (AERC) Oakdale, MN   At AERC, our Surgery team is focused on supporting high-quality surgical care, serving the community, and having fun! What You’ll Do: Assist with surgical procedures and patient preparation Support surgeons and the surgical team during procedures Assist the Anesthesia team with cases Provide attentive pre- and post-operative patient care Maintain sterile technique and surgical suite readiness Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth, safe workflows   Essential Physical Functions:   Stand and walk for extended periods Lift up to 50 lbs independently; assist with larger patients Safely handle and restrain animals of varying sizes and temperaments Bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift Use fine motor skills for technical tasks and instrument handling Work in a fast-paced environment with noise, odors, and PPE QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred, or equivalent experience Comfort with patient handling, basic anesthesia, and monitoring Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Team-oriented mindset and willingness to jump in where needed Interest in surgery and procedural workflows   Why AERC?
