Our interdisciplinary team supports patients physically, emotionally, and spiritually, meeting people where they are with dignity and respect. We are seeking a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to join our Hospice Interdisciplinary Team. Why This Role Stands Out • Meaningful, patient-centered work in hospice care • Collaborative interdisciplinary team environment • Opportunity to provide holistic, creative therapy • Mission-driven nonprofit organization • Flexible, community-based care delivery Position Details • Schedule: Full-Time • Team: Hospice Interdisciplinary Team • Reports To: Director of Clinical Operations • Travel: Required within service area What You’ll Do Clinical & Patient Care • Complete music therapy assessments for patients and families • Provide individualized, evidence-based music therapy interventions • Address physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs • Support comfort, memory recall, emotional expression, and end-of-life goals • Utilize culturally responsive music and therapeutic techniques Interdisciplinary Collaboration • Partner with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and care teams • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings • Support patients, families, and caregivers throughout the care journey • Promote continuity of care across services Documentation & Compliance • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation • Follow hospice regulations and infection control standards • Support a safe, respectful care environment Operational Support • Collaborate with leadership to support efficient care delivery • Contribute to quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives Qualifications Required • Bachelor’s degree in music therapy from an AMTA-accredited program • Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) • Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle • Ability to travel within the service area Preferred • Experience in hospice or palliative care Work Environment & Physical Requirements • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching • Work in hospice homes, patient residences, and community settings • Exposure to emotionally sensitive situations • Occasional evening or weekend availability "At Episcopal Homes of Minnesota, we value a diverse, inclusive workforce and we provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees.
