As a Gensler Project Architect, your creativity and thoughtfulness will create opportunities in the authorship of engaging human experiences in the built environment. Based in a studio of our Oakland office, you will join a team serving clients in purpose-built environments for workplace, sciences, and education. Through our close partnership with clients in such active fields of development, we are able to leverage design to achieve livable cities, reductions in global warming potential, and an engaging work experience for occupants of our projects.Ā

What You Will DoĀ
Engage directly with senior design leadership from early development throughthe implementation of design solutions
Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectivesĀ
Manage project team and coordination of consultantsĀ
Produce BIM models and construction drawingsĀ
Resolve challenging technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative, technical and constructible solutionsĀ
Provide Mentorship and coaching to grow junior staff membersĀ
Participate in office culture and initiativesĀ

Your QualificationsĀ
Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited schoolāÆĀ
Licensure requiredĀ
5-8+ years of experience in the profession of architectural designĀ
Strong experience working with Revit and RhinoĀ
Proficiency with SketchUp, 3D Max, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but not requiredĀ
Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultantsĀ
Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
Effective communicator, collaborative and team-conscious
Experience working directly with contractorsĀ
A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Experience resolving complex technical and design issuesĀ
Experience performing zoning and code analysis in multiple jurisdictionsĀ
Understanding of how buildings are constructed, along with the ability to create technical documents that succinctly, thoroughly, and accurately describe the work to be doneĀ
Understanding of sustainable and universal design conceptsĀ
Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skillsĀ
Previous experience in sustainable design projects preferable. Especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel and /or Net Zero Building certificationĀ

*The base salary will be estimated between $97,000 - $113,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
