We are currently seeking an experienced Assembly Conveyors Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading daily production, personnel, and quality control functions for robotics and conveyor manufacturing. This role ensures mechanical assemblers safely and efficiently build complex automated systems according to engineering designs and master production schedules. By bridging design engineering and floor execution, the manager oversees process standardization, quality troubleshooting, cross-functional training, and administrative duties.  

Location: We are conveniently located in Oakland, FL, 23 minutes from Orlando.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily assembly operations for robotics and structural conveyor systems to meet production schedules and shipping deadlines.
  • Assign and oversee production personnel based on skills, workload, and business needs.
  • Monitor production activities and promptly resolve delays, material shortages, tooling issues, and other obstacles affecting productivity.
  • Ensure accurate interpretation and application of drawings, CAD models, schematics, and technical specifications throughout assembly.
  • Oversee factory acceptance testing (FAT), inspections, and quality verification of robotic cells and mechanical systems.
  • Implement Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, errors, and production costs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and other departments to resolve technical issues, improve manufacturability, and enhance product quality.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to safety, quality, cost, delivery, productivity, and employee performance.
  • Utilize SAP, Smartsheet, and other company systems to monitor production performance and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Evaluate employee performance, manage attendance, and foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team.
  • Train, coach, and develop employees while supporting performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Partner with HR on hiring, evaluations, promotions, employee relations, disciplinary actions, and other personnel matters.
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, quality requirements, ISO procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment and promptly address workplace hazards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for production activities, strategic projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements to protect product quality and the Company's reputation.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required, with 5+ years of assembly, manufacturing, or production management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead production teams and consistently meet or exceed production, quality, and delivery goals.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of servo motors, PLCs, hydraulics, gearboxes, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment.
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools, torque equipment, laser alignment systems, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP, CAD viewing software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong commitment to safety, ISO requirements, and company procedures.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, generally less than 10%.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience working in manufacturing environment.
  • 7+ years of experience in an assembly or production management role.
  • Working knowledge of SAP systems.
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Experience developing equipment and staffing capacity models.
  • Production or materials planning experience.
