***Immediate need for experienced, licensed applicants for 8 hour shifts 2 days per week in Oakland  2pm-10pm Saturday and Sunday.  Must have reliable transportation and Drivers License.  The right candidate will have experience with spinal injury patients and catheter care as well as Unassisted Transfers and Hoyer Lifts and have a passion for engaging with seniors and improving their day to day living experience.  Must be ok with cats.***

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):
    • Provide support with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
    • Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
  • Medication Reminders:
    • Provide reminders for medication according to prescribed schedules.
    • Support clients in managing their medication routines.
  • Meal Preparation and Nutrition:  
    • Assist with meal planning and preparation, adhering to dietary requirements.
    • Monitor and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Companionship and Social Interaction: 
    • Engage clients in meaningful conversations and companionship.
    • Accompany clients to appointments and social activities.
  • Health Monitoring: 
    • Observe and report changes in clients' health status to the care team.
    • Document care provided and any notable observations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience as a caregiver 
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Active California Home Care Aid license. 
  • Active California CNA license. 
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively within a team.
