2026 Summer Intern

 

Location:

This internship role is scheduled to be flexible. Please be prepared to spend part of your time working remotely and part of your time working at the following location: Pasadena or Pleasanton, CA.

 

Department Details:

The Hospital System Operations team ensures seamless, safe, and efficient care delivery across our nationwide network of hospitals. We provide operational insight to support strategic decisions, lead the Care Without Delay initiative to get patients the right care at the right time in the right place, and oversee employee safety to maintain a secure work environment. Additionally, we manage the National Command Center (NCC), serving as the central hub for real-time coordination, crisis response, and operational excellence.

 

Internship Projects:

Data Analysis & Reporting: Compile and analyze hospital performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Process Improvement: Map patient flow processes and suggest optimizations to reduce delays in care. Assist in documenting and standardizing operational workflows.

Employee Safety Support: Research best practices for workplace safety and help update safety protocols. Develop training materials or quick-reference guides for staff safety compliance.

Special Projects: Benchmark operational practices against other health systems. Support communication efforts by drafting internal updates or presentations.
