We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of Trumpf CNC machines and will play a key role in maximizing productivity while maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision. This role is responsible for creating, editing, and optimizing CNC programs for milling and/or turning machines, as well as setting up and operating CNC machinery to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications. This position requires the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, monitor machine performance, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
Location: We are conveniently located in Oakland, FL, 23 minutes from Orlando.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and edit CNC programs using Mastercam, G-code, and SolidWorks for CNC mills and lathes with FANUC controls.
- Efficiently operate and monitor a variety of CNC machines, ensuring parts meet specifications and quality standards.
- Create and fabricate fixtures, jigs, and holding devices as required for production.
- Select, align, install, and remove cutting tools, fixtures, attachments, and raw materials safely and accurately.
- Set machine parameters including cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow to optimize performance.
- Conduct part measurements and first-article inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy per mechanical drawings and GD&T standards.
- Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
- Consistently produce usable products that meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings and schematics.
- Understand and comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
- Maintain housekeeping and general clean up duties throughout the site.
- Completes work priorities as assigned by supervisors.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or related education, technical training or certifications.
- 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining and programming experience, especially with Mastercam and FANUC-controlled machines.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, CAD models, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience working with a variety of materials (metals, plastics, etc.).
- The ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Possess a high degree of safety awareness when performing all tasks.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Well organized, analytical, and detail oriented.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills and math.
- Work well with others and work as a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
- Display and maintain enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
- Must cooperate with other associates in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
- Programming Mitsubishi Controls.
- MasterCAM certification.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
