Join us in building a team that reflects the rich diversity of our society and let's make a positive impact together.    Primary Work Location:   MULTISITE: Multisite staff work across several program locations throughout Alameda County, providing care and support wherever it is most needed. These sites offer a range of services, including post-hospitalization, medically supported shelter, medical respite care, skilled nursing, and caregiving support.    Job Summary:    The Maintenance Technician Worker will complete routine maintenance and minor repairs needed at our several sites. The Maintenance Technician Worker supports daily operations by keeping rooms, common areas, and building systems safe and working. This role reports to the Facilities Manager and works across multiple sites. The technician completes repairs, preventative maintenance, and urgent facility needs. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment. Technicians must be able to solve problems, work with limited resources, and stay calm in challenging situations.  About the Role: Job Duties  Keep all rooms, common areas, and building spaces safe, clean, and in good working condition  Perform repairs including basic electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, refrigeration, and general maintenance  Complete landscaping tasks such as trash removal, basic upkeep, and exterior cleanliness  Safely use hand tools and power tools to complete repairs  Troubleshoot issues and repair, when possible, instead of replacing equipment  Complete work orders using MaintainX, including notes and photos  Follow a preventative maintenance schedule  Inspect and maintain safety systems (fire alarms, lighting, access systems, etc.)  Respond to urgent maintenance issues and report emergencies immediately to the Facilities Manager  Travel between multiple sites as assigned  Work independently and as part of a team  Communicate clearly with staff, vendors, and leadership  Support room turns, clean-up, and facility readiness  Maintain tools, supplies, and organized workspaces  Follow all safety procedures and properly use provided PPE   Minimum Required Skills & Qualifications:   At least 2 years of multi-unit maintenance or related experience  Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, and general repair  Strong problem-solving skills  Ability to work independently and as part of a team  Strong communication skills  Comfortable using basic technology (phones, apps, and MaintainX)  Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel between sites (mileage reimbursed)  Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations  Ability to follow safety procedures and use PPE  Compliance with all company policies  Must be at least 18 years old    Physical Requirements:   Occasional sitting or stationary work  Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, and ascending stairs  Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs  Frequent pushing and pulling  Frequent reaching high, low, and level    Work Environment:  In-person onsite at a supportive housing facility. Constant work around and/or with people OR Interaction with patients, clients, and external customers   Benefits:  Employees in this role may be eligible for a range of benefits, including   Employer-supported medical,   Access to dental and vision insurance,   Paid vacation and sick time,   Retirement plan (401k) participation with a company match,   Commuter benefits,   Long Term Disability,   Life Insurance  Eligibility for certain benefits may vary based on hours worked per week and length of employment  Specific details are provided in the benefits guide and are subject to change    Cardea Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer  Cardea Health is committed to diversity in the workplace.
