Project Manager

The Project Manager, working under the direction of the Program Manager, provides oversight and responsibility for management of the portfolio of projects executed and managed by Johnson Controls for one or more companies in the Bay area. You will be responsible for providing regular project communications, both internally and externally to the appropriate stakeholders so that assigned projects are delivered on time and within budget. The Project Manager provides a single point of contact to clients for resolution of project and operational issues as assigned by the program manager, and performs periodic project and program reviews, making recommendations for improvement and marshalling the implementation of those recommendations. Actively participates in sequencing projects, adjusting timelines, and modifying scope documents to achieve objectives. This position is fulltime, onsite at client location in Sunnyvale, CA. Responsibilities include understanding client objectives and aligning operational support activities, establishing standards, policies and processes, ensuring proper resource alignment, facilitating communication with clients and internal stakeholders, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, monitoring and providing oversight of projects, managing JCI and subcontractor resources, creating project documentation, ownership of project plans, initiation and support of projects, monitoring progress, ensuring benefits realization, risk management, mentoring field staff, reporting project status, monitoring and controlling project performance, implementing project controlled environment, and developing project scoreboards. Requirements include 3-5 years physical security experience, low voltage cabling experience, experience with Smartsheet's and PlanGrid, strong leadership and communication skills, self-starter with continuous improvement focus, technical expertise in enterprise-wide access control and video systems, organizational skills, and desired project management certification or willingness to enroll. Salary range is $101,700 to $135,800 USD with competitive bonus and benefits.
