Job DetailsJob Location: Fresh 2 U Transportation - OBERLIN, OH 44074Fresh2U Transportation was founded in 2015 as a means of transportation for horticulture products for its sister companies, Green Circle Growers and Express Seed Company, as well as the public. From there, Fresh2U Transportation saw a need to create a logistics team and therefore Fresh2U Logistics began operations in 2018. Fresh2U Logistics operates as an authorized broker of property by planning how goods will get from one place to another within the horticulture industry.  POSITION OVERVIEW: The CDL Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting tractors and trailers between various locations. This role is a full-time position requiring candidates to have flexibility to work additional hours or days during peak seasons. JOB DUTIES: •    Transport tractors and trailers between GCG and various maintenance locations (Penske, Idealease, Bob’s Tire, etc.) •    Pick up materials from local vendors •    Deliver products to local customers •    Transfer materials between GCG and third-party warehouse facilities (Fremont, Oberlin) •    Handle pick-up and return of rental equipment •    Pick up empty carts from customers •    Perform minor trailer repairs as needed (e.g., dolly handles, light bulbs, etc.) •    Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies •    Assist in training new drivers on company policies, procedures, equipment, and ELDs •    Perform routine fleet checks including checking tires, stickers, necessary documents, mileage, etc. •    All other duties as assignedQualificationsQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: •    Class A CDL license required •    2+ years of verifiable driving experience required  •    Clean driving record •    Weekend work may be required •    Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and cleanliness standards •    Proven initiative and responsibility demonstrated through prior work experience •    Team player with a positive attitude PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS: •    CDL Class A license required •    Plant/Production facility, occasionally outside, or in-store; Possible extreme heat/cold dependent on season •    Continuously requires ability to follow verbal and/or written direction  •    Frequently requires walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling (up to 200lbs), bending, and crouching  •    Frequently requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, climbing, and handling •    Requires ability to operate machinery, drive vehicles (truck) or use equipment such as hand tools, computers, or general business equipment
