Job DetailsJob Location: Express Seed Company - OBERLIN, OH 44074 POSITION OVERVIEW: The Claims Associate at Express Seed Company plays a vital role in supporting both our customer service and accounting operations. This position requires strong communication skills to effectively interact across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing a large volume of documentation efficiently. Strong time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.   JOB DUTIES: Facilitate, enter, and ensure resolution of all customer and vendor claims within specified vendor time frames Effectively communicate the status of claims internally with Customer Service Representatives, Sales Representatives, and the Business Operations team, as well as externally with customers and vendors Ensure that all information and documentation needed for a claim is received Ability to handle seasonal volume peaks in a timely manner Commitment to providing the best service and support to our trading partners Performs other accounting duties as assigned during off season All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS and education requirements: Associate's degree in a finance related field preferred or relevant experience required Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and accounting principles Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem solving 2-3+ years of experience in a high transactional volume environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and handle multiple tasks Ability to work well in a team and cross-functionally in a business environment with seasonal peaks Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite Data entry experience   pHYSICAL Environment & Requirements: Climate-controlled office or home office environment Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking Frequently requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, and handling Occasionally requires walking, climbing stairs, lifting (up to 20lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching Rarely requires climbing Qualifications
