About Us

FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build backup power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time.


Position Summary - The Bill of Material Specialist is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and detailed entry of parts and Bills of Materials in the ERP system, in coordination with the needs of Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales, within a manufacturing company in the power generation industry.


Essential Functions - Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:

  • Create and accurately maintain individual part item records in the ERP system, to include part numbers, descriptions, revisions, & other attributes.
  • Read & interpret engineering drawings, including calculating material needs based upon part dimensions.
  • Create, modify, and maintain accurate and consistent multi-level Bills of Materials and routings within the ERP system.
  • Process Engineering Change Orders to update part records and BoMs, in order to maintain revision history and traceability.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other departments to resolve part discrepancies or missing BoM components.

Background and Experience Required

  • 2+ years of experience working with ERP systems, especially Epicor.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Two-year degree preferred, but will consider equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and support production, engineering, purchasing, and sales.
  • Experience with reading engineering drawings and component Bills of Materials.
  • Strong written and oral communication, with a high attention to detail.

Equipment/Machinery Used 

Computer, printer/copier, and other office equipment.  


Physical Requirements:  While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand and/or sit for long periods of time; walk on non-forgiving surfaces such as concrete, wood, and metal (to include metal or fiberglass ramps placed on 30 degree angles); climb stairs, balance, climb, stoop, crouch, and crawl; walk on hilly and uneven ground; use hands to handle and feel; reach with hands; lift push, pull, and/or move more than 20 lbs. without a mechanical aid; and communicate with others. Work environment is a manufacturing warehouse atmosphere with extreme temperature changes, loud noises and machinery with moving parts. The work environment could also involve some outside exposure.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working with ERP systems
  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Degree preferred, but would consider equivalent experience
